Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026 · Kainos Consultants Australia Pty Ltd, trading as CompliDesk
This Cookie Policy describes what is stored on your device when you use the CompliDesk Ireland website, and how your consent controls it.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies (such as localStorage) store small amounts of data in your browser. Irish law — S.I. No. 336/2011 (the ePrivacy Regulations) together with the GDPR — requires that we only use non-essential cookies with your prior consent.
2. How Consent Works on This Site
When you first visit, a consent banner asks you to choose. Nothing optional is loaded until you decide:
- "Accept all" enables analytics and marketing storage.
- "Reject all" keeps the site to essential storage only.
- "Manage preferences" lets you choose per category — no boxes are pre-ticked.
Your choice is stored on your device so we don’t ask again on every visit.
3. What We Actually Use
Essential (always on):
- complidesk_ie_consent — records your cookie choice so the banner doesn’t reappear. Stored in your browser (localStorage). Kept until you clear your browser data.
Analytics (only with your consent):
- None currently in use. If we introduce analytics (for example, Google Analytics 4), it will load only after you consent to the Analytics category, and this policy will be updated first.
Marketing (only with your consent):
- None currently in use. If we introduce advertising measurement (for example, Google Ads conversion tags), it will load only after you consent to the Marketing category, and this policy will be updated first.
4. Changing or Withdrawing Your Choice
You can change your mind at any time:
- Clear this site’s data in your browser settings (often listed under Privacy → Cookies and site data) — the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
- Or email admin@complidesk.com.au and we will help.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done while consent was in place.
5. Third-Party Cookies
This website does not currently set any third-party cookies. Embedded third-party content that sets cookies will only be added behind the appropriate consent category.
6. More Information
For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy. For guidance on cookies and your rights, see the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
This policy is kept in step with what the site actually loads — if we add analytics or marketing tools, this page is updated before they are enabled. Questions? Contact admin@complidesk.com.au.
